Career

Elizabeth qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and has always practised in criminal law.   She is a qualified Police Station Representative and a Qualified Duty Solicitor.  Elizabeth worked in criminal defence until the end of 2022, when she moved into criminal and marine regulatory work.   She has prosecuted on behalf of the Inshore Fishery Conversation Authority around the UK as well as well as dealing with high profile non-marine criminal regulatory cases.

Elizabeth boasts a portfolio of cases ranging from defending CQC , Trading standards, Fire Authority, Marine Management Organisation prosecutions to general private client criminal matters in the Police Station and Magistrates Court.

Elizabeth still regularly attends police station interviews on behalf of clients, is active as an advocate in the Magistrates and Youth Court and Litigates matters at the Crown Court here at GT Stewart Solicitors & Advocates.
