James was educated in Nottinghamshire before studying Law at Sheffield University. The Legal Practice Course was carried out in York before a training contract back in Nottinghamshire. For the last 2 years James has worked in family law teams in Nottinghamshire and Manchester. In 2010 he took the bold move leaving the comfort of a large corporate practice in Manchester to set up Maguire Family Law.
