Career
Ahsan joined Ketley Miller Joels in May 2020.
He qualified as a solicitor in 2016 at a city firm with a highly regarded family law department and subsequently practised at a leading family law firm. He formerly worked as a TV producer and made documentaries for broadcasters such as the BBC, ITV and Channel 4.
Ahsan specialises in legal issues arising from the breakdown of a relationship. His work covers all aspects of private family law, including divorce, related financial proceedings and private law children matters such as contact, domestic, child and drug abuse, international relocation and financial arrangements.
Ahsan is experienced in dealing with high net worth clients and in cases involving high-value properties and investments, business interests, share schemes, inherited wealth, trusts and jurisdiction issues. He has worked closely with forensic accountants, tax experts and property valuers to identify and value assets, as well as other lawyers specialising in foreign, commercial, criminal and privacy law. Many of his cases have been heard at the High Court by the country’s foremost family Judges because of their value and complexity.
Ahsan has also worked on pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and cohabitation agreements where assets are located throughout the world.
Although many of Ahsan’s clients have been high net worth, he regularly acts for men and women from all walks of life and enjoys doing so.
Ahsan is focused on achieving the best outcome for all his clients. He takes time to understand each client’s objectives and tailors his case approach to fit them. Ahsan believes matters should be settled amicably where possible but is adept at fighting for his client’s rights when he needs to.
