Career
Lewis joined WP Thompson in 2012 and is a Chartered UK and European Patent Attorney and a registered representative before the Unitary Patent Court (UPC). Prior to joining WP Thompson, Lewis worked in the R&D department of a large multinational corporation based in China specialising in the development of cloud computing.
Lewis’ practice focuses on drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a variety of fields, but he has particular experience in the mechanical, electrical and software technical fields. He has an in-depth knowledge of the patentability and enforcement issues surrounding digital media and telecommunication technologies, and software and business method inventions in the UK and Europe.
Working with a wide range of clients, Lewis tailors his advice to the needs of each, whether large-scale corporations or small to medium-sized enterprises, drawing on his commercial acumen to identify, protect and help his clients exploit key assets of their business.
