Career
With a background in chemistry, Sarah's work encompasses a wide range of subject-matter including energy storage, semi-conductor technologies, pharmaceuticals, biologically active materials, materials science, and medical methods and device technologies. Since joining the profession in 2014, her work has included drafting and prosecuting applications before the UK Intellectual Property Office and European Patent Office, in addition to working with foreign attorneys around the world to secure patent protection for her clients across the globe.
Sarah is experience in dealing with contentious matters, having successfully represented clients at numerous opposition and appeal proceedings before the EPO. Sarah also has experience working on litigation before the IPEC in the UK and in securing settlement agreements between parties.
With a keen interest in the nuances of patent law and problem solving, Sarah has worked on applications in a multitude of fields to develop strategies for advancing prosecution and securing protection. She has also worked with clients varying from large multinational companies down to lone inventors and SMEs to prosecute and manage patent applications in numerous countries across the globe.
