Position

Paul is a partner and a construction and engineering law specialist. He advises a wide variety of clients including major institutional lenders, investment funds, developers, housebuilders, contractors, professionals, occupiers, and engineering companies. His clients operate in various sectors including leisure, hotels, offices, retail, health, charities, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure and public works.

In addition to advising on the construction and engineering aspects of projects, and preparing the necessary documentation, he deals with issues that arise during building and engineering projects, acting for parties in adjudications, mediations, arbitrations and court proceedings in the Technology and Construction Court and the Court of Appeal.

Career

Paul worked at Taylor Wessing before joining IBB Law LLP as a partner in 2007.

Paul has written for various publications including Building Magazine, Construction News, Legal Week and the Financial Times.

Memberships

Paul is the Secretary of the London Constructing Excellence Club, a member of the Society of Construction Law, and Chairman of the IBB Charitable Trust.

Education

Paul has a BEng in Structural and Civil Engineering from the University of Bristol. After attending the College of Law in London, he qualified as a solicitor in 1996.
