Position

John has been Addleshaw Goddard's Managing Partner since May 2014.  Since taking on the Managing Partner role, John has been responsible for re-focusing the firm's strategy and for its implementation.

Before being elected to that role he was national head of the firm's restructuring practice. As a practitioner, he had extensive experience as a corporate lawyer, with a particular focus in corporate restructuring work.  He has advised on all aspects of restructuring, business support, turnaround and insolvency, advising directors and companies on restructuring opportunities as well as lenders and borrowers in distressed lending circumstances and acted on some of the firm's largest and highest profile restructuring assignments.

Articled Slater Heelis; qualified 1988; solicitor 1988-93; partner 1993-98; partner Addleshaw Booth & Co (now Addleshaw Goddard) 1998 to date.
