Laura deals with both non-contentious and contentious matters, and has specialised in family law since she qualified in 2014.

Her non-contentious work includes drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, as well as cohabitation agreements for unmarried couples.

Laura’s contentious work includes situations such as divorce, cohabitations disputes, and domestic violence. In these difficult scenarios, clients appreciate Laura’s empathy and approachability when she’s dealing with their matter.

Laura is a member of Resolution, a community of family lawyers who believe that a non-confrontational approach to family law issues produces better outcomes for separating families and their children. She is committed to a constructive way of working, and follows the Resolution Resolution Code of Practice during her practice. While she is conciliatory wherever possible, Laura is no pushover. She’s confident to adopt a firm approach when the case demands it.

Laura is one of the leaders at KJS Solicitors. She built the St Albans office from scratch, which is now thriving. One of the reason for its success is Laura’s commitment to the growth and development of the team. She enjoys training and mentoring her team, and inspires them to feel confident in their work.

Laura was born in Romania and she regularly appears on radio there to give live legal advice to community groups. She frequently gives the Romanian community advice on English family law.
