Partner

Eleanor is a Partner at Kemp IT Law specialising in artificial intelligence (AI), technology and data protection law and regulation. She has expertise advising clients on AI, cloud, data, XaaS and privacy contracting and negotiations, as well as governance and compliance projects.

Eleanor joined Kemp IT Law in August 2021 and became a Partner in January 2025. Prior to that, Eleanor trained at Travers Smith, qualifying in 2019 into their Commercial, Intellectual Property and Technology Department.

Eleanor graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA Hons in Land Economy and gained the Computer Science for Lawyers certificate from Harvard University in 2020. She also holds the IAPP (International Alliance of Privacy Professionals) certifications as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (Europe) and a Certified Information Privacy Manager.

Eleanor won Mondaq’s Spring 2024 Thought Leader award, was shortlisted for PICASSO Europe’s Rising Star Award 2024 and is Global Legal Experts’ UK Data Protection Lawyer of the Year 2024. She is also recommended for her “data protection expertise” in Legal500.

Eleanor has authored articles and guides on AI, data protection and cybersecurity, including Thomson Reuters Practical Law’s guide to Cybersecurity in the technology sector and Expert Q&A on data privacy and ethical issues raised by generative AI.
