Career Highlights

I secured a compensation settlement of £7.5m for a man who was left in need of lifelong care and support after suffering a serious brain injury in a motorbike accident. The settlement covers the cost of dedicated care professionals and professional deputyship input supporting him for the rest of his life, enabling him to live as independently as possible. The dedicated care package which has been put in place has brought peace of mind for his parents.

I also secured a seven-figure settlement for a young man who sustained a serious head injury in a road traffic accident when he was a child. Although he has made a remarkable recovery from his injuries, his future earning capacity has been compromised and the settlement reflected this.

In another case I successfully settled a claim for £1,310,000 damages for a motorcyclist who sustained serious life changing orthopaedic injuries. The claim also included a complex claim for loss of earnings to include a loss of future share options.

I’m very proud of another case in supporting an inspirational woman who suffered serious injuries to her internal organ and multiple fractures in a car crash. I ensured a full rehabilitation plan, led by a dedicated case manager, was in place to provide an extensive package of physical, psychological and financial support, including home adaptations.

It was followed with a £300,000 interim payment which enabled her and her family to buy a bungalow, providing easy access and adaptations to give her full independence at home. Her legal claim reached a final settlement, without the need to go to court, securing a further substantial six-figure sum.

I also secured a great settlement for a client who suffered a crush injury to his foot in an accident at work. Despite being able to return to work he was left with long-lasting pain and needed surgery to insert a spinal cord stimulator to help relieve it. The case was successfully settled with the Defendant’s legal team in the sum for £627,000, which included covering the future private costs associated with replacing the spinal cord stimulator.

Another notable case saw me secure £500,000 damages and a long-term rehabilitation support package for a young man who suffered a serious leg break in a work accident.
