Career

Joanne advises open-ended and closed-ended mutual funds and private equity funds, top tier investment managers and fund service provided on fund launches, ongoing legal and regulatory compliance and termination. She also has extensive experience advising on a broad range of international corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, sukuk issues, rights issues, private placements and restructurings. Her clients include AQR Capital Management, LLC, PGIM and Field Street Capital. Joanne advised Goldman Sachs International as arranger and lead manager on the issue of its first ever suku, which raised $500 million.

Joanne joined Ogier from Hogan Lovells' Corporate Group in London. During her time at the firm, Joanne was seconded to the Hong Kong office and to Lloyds Banking Group, where she oversaw and facilitated The Bank of Scotland banking transfer.

Joanne is a member of 100 Women in Finance and served on the Hedge Funds Care Committee of Hope.

Education

Joanne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Jurisprudence from Oxford University (Pembroke College) and obtained her Diploma in Legal Practise with distinction. Joanne was amdinitted in the Cayman Islands in 2012 and England and Wales in 2009 (non practising).
