Position

Cheri Minors is a senior associate in the dispute resolution practice and specializes in employment law. She advises on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. She has experience advising clients on executive dismissals; restructuring and reorganizations; data protection;  and sensitive grievance and disciplinary procedure advice. She has also advised clients in relation to claims for unfair dismissal; discrimination, redundancy and breach of contract. Cheri was recently (2021) appointed as a member of the Employment and Labour Relations Tribunal.

Cheri also assists the private wealth practice of Carey Olsen Bermuda with advising on various non-contentious trust and estate planning matters. Cheri has over nine years of experience in a wide range of areas including private client and trusts, regulatory and employment law.

Education

Cheri completed the Legal Practice Course in Manchester England and graduated from the University of Law (formerly the College of Law) with distinction. She completed her LLB in Canterbury England and graduated from the University of Kent with honors. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Dalhousie University.
