Position

Mark acts in a broad range of disputes across various sectors (notably private equity and financial services, aviation, energy and sports), with a particular focus on insolvency and investment valuations.

His work almost always encompasses cross-jurisdictional elements, and he is often involved in global disputes proceeding in various forums around the world, both as global co-ordinating counsel and local Cayman Islands counsel. He has particular expertise co-ordinating global documentary discovery efforts, including in hostile jurisdictions such as the PRC.

Mark is currently engaged in several billion-dollar investment valuation cases which are proceeding before the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands.

Career

Mark graduated in Law from the University of Oxford in 2013 and studied the LPC (Fast Track) at BPP University in London.

Mark trained as a Solicitor in the London office of Jones Day, and practised in the Global Disputes department until 2020, when he joined a boutique Legal 500 top tier firm handling large commercial disputes for a number of sports clients (notably household name football clubs and their owners).

Mark was selected for and completed the INSOL Future Leaders Programme in 2023, and was named one of CityWealth's Top 40 under 40 in Offshore Financial Centres in the same year.

Education

Mark graduated in Law from the University of Oxford in 2013. He went on to study the LPC (Fast-Track) at BPP University in 2013/2014, then to complete a two-year Training Contract at Jones Day's London office.
