Position

Andrew is a partner in Carey Olsen's Guernsey office.

Andrew has significant experience in connection with the structuring, formation and regulation of Guernsey open and closed-ended collective investment schemes investing in private equity, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure and hedge funds. He also advises upon significant and high value corporate and M&A transactions, including court-sanctioned schemes of arrangement, group restructures and migrations.

Andrew advises a wide range of fund managers across the UK, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Career

Andrew joined Carey Olsen in 2007 having previously worked as a graduate lawyer with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission in Australia.

Education

Andrew has a Bachelor in Laws (2004) and a Bachelor in Economics (2001) from Adelaide University and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance and Investment from Macquarie University (2019).  He qualified as a solicitor in South Australia (2004) and England & Wales (2009) and was called to the Guernsey Bar in 2023. Andrew became a partner in 2024.
