Partner

David is highly experienced in a wide range of private client work, including house purchase and house sale, re-mortgage, wills, trusts and executry work. He is the lead partner for the firm’s Residential Property, House Builder and Estate Agency team throughout Scotland and has experience of purchase and sale of high value properties, acquiring sites, placing Deed of Condition and selling individual properties as part of a bespoke plot sale process.

David also acts for a number of property investors, developers and builders both acquiring stock through portfolio acquisitions and disposal of properties on the open market.

David is involved in conveyancing matters for the firm’s extensive social housing clients, including Right to Buy, Shared Ownership, and the various Shared Equity schemes under LIFT. He has experience in advising lending institutions and housing associations on large scale finance facilities. He also acts for the Scottish Government on all Shared Equity matters and has been the lead partner in the Scottish Government’s shared equity schemes since 2008, which has involved thousands of property transactions.
