Position

Jane has practised exclusively in family law since qualifying in 2010.

She is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Family Law and as a Family Law Mediator.

She has experience in all aspects of family law, including divorce and separation, financial provision on divorce, cohabitation and child residence and contact issues, including relocation. She also deals with the negotiation and preparation of pre and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements.

She regularly appears in the Sheriff Court in cases involving the welfare of children and financial matters following separation. She also have experience in dealing with cases in the Court of Session involving high net worth and more complex matters.

Where possible, she will always aim to resolve matters by negotiation and  regularly deals with such cases. She advises clients of the legal options available to them, taking account of their individual circumstances at an emotionally difficult time.

Memberships

She is trained in collaborative practice and is a member of Consensus Scotland, CALM and the Family Law Association. I am also a tutor on the Family Law Elective on the Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde.
