Andrew deals with a wide variety of civil and commercial disputes in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session. He provides advice and representation in relation to banking and finance disputes, construction disputes, contractual disputes and energy disputes.

Andrew has particular expertise in banking litigation, and acted for the successful pursuer in the landmark case Cooper v Bank of Scotland [2014] CSOH 16. Andrew's interests in banking litigation means he is an important member of the firm's civil fraud team, deploying his advocacy skills to obtain and defend interim orders and interim diligence in order to protect his client's assets and interests.  Andrew undertakes a number of complex shareholder and corporate disputes, including most recently, leading his clients to success in the diversion of corporate funds case of Mohammad Aqeel Alam and Tahir Shah, on behalf of ICU (Europe) Ltd against (First) Saquib Ibrahim and (Second) ICU (Secure) Ltd.

He also regularly advises clients in relation to alternative methods of dispute resolution, and has acted in a number of successful mediations.
