Linda Walker

Position

regularly advise on divorce and financial provision, cohabitation, child residence and contact, child abduction, child relocation, maintenance as well as measures for those in the early stages of their relationships such as pre-nuptial agreements or cohabitation agreements.  I appear regularly in the Sheriff Court and regularly instruct Counsel in the Court of Session and can provide advice and representation when court is the best course of action.

I have significant experience in international and cross border cases both in relation to children’s care and relocation or child abduction, and in relation to divorce.  I have built relationships with solicitors in other jurisdictions which help to smooth the process.

Linda has practised exclusively in the area of family law since 2014, prior to which I undertook a wide variety of litigation after qualifying in 2006.  She is experienced in all areas of family law and has achieved two accreditations from the Law Society of Scotland; in Family Law and in Family Mediation.

She is trained as a collaborative lawyer and is a member of CALM, the Family Law Association and Consensus.

Linda volunteers as a solicitor for the Scottish Child Law Centre and often contribute to articles for various publications such as Greens Family Law Bulletin, Scots Law Times, the Scottish Legal News and the Scotsman.
