Career

Tom is the Head of our Family department. He has practiced family law since qualifying in 2003, developing specialisms in multiple areas of family law, with a particular focus on complex children matters.

Tom also regularly helps clients in separating their finances following the end of a relationship or marriage, and in addition advises in relation to matters concerning Domestic Abuse. He also advises on surrogacy queries and assists clients on parental orders, donor conception and separation as well as LGBTQ+ matters.

Tom previously qualified and practiced as a family mediator, and now utilises those skills when seeking to establish a non-contentious and pragmatic approach towards family matters, where appropriate.

He is a member of the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme and is a Resolution accredited specialist.

Tom is also the Chair of the firm’s wellbeing and mental health first aid committee and a MHFA England MHFA Champion.
