Position
Claire is an associate in the Birmingham team, having trained at Browne Jacobson in 2011-2013 and qualified as a solicitor in 2013. Claire is an experienced litigator, having a background in defending clinical negligence claims which included defending numerous cases to trial and pursuing a case to the Court of Appeal.
More recently, Claire specialises in Court of Protection and Inquest work. She has extensive experience in the latter, and regularly appears in Coroner’s Court providing advocacy for clients and supporting witnesses through the process. Claire also regularly advises on a broad range of advisory matters including DOLS, Mental Capacity and responsible commissioner issues.
Claire frequently provides training to NHS Trusts and Clinical Commissioning Groups on a variety of topics including Coronial Law and Process, Court skills, Consent and the Mental Capacity Act.
