Senior Associate - Employment - Non HR Services

Nicole has recently joined the firm’s employment team in London as a Senior Associate. She has significant experience of advising clients from a wide range of sectors on contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.

Nicole advises both public and private sector clients on every aspect of employment law, including redundancies, restructures, TUPE transfers, general HR advisory matters such as disciplinary, grievance and performance management procedures, reviewing and drafting employment documentation, settlement negotiations and employment tribunal litigation.

Nicole represents a number of academy clients in defending them against Tribunal claims, ranging from race and disability discrimination to unfair dismissal. Two of her most notable claims are defending an academy client against a claim for age discrimination on the grounds that the transitional provisions in the Teacher’s Pension Scheme are discriminatory and defending an academy client in proceedings that have escalated to the Employment Appeal Tribunal. Nicole also has experience of high-value settlement negotiations and has recently advised on exit strategies for 2 Headteachers.

Nicole often writes briefing notes and articles, and acts as the go to person for her HR colleagues.
