Qualified 1983; joined Bates, Wells & Braithwaite 1985, quickly developed an expertise in cases combining financial complexity and difficult issues concerning children, partner 1990; co-founded Hughes Fowler Carruthers 2001; trained as a mediator 1993; lectures, writes and broadcasts on family law matters. Represented the successful husband in the Privy Council case of MacLeod [2008] UKPC 64.
