Position

Yujin advises U.S. and foreign clients in trade litigation before U.S. agencies and international organizations.  She has significant experience representing foreign companies in trade remedy proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Court of International Trade, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  Yujin also advises governments and companies on U.S. and international trade policy issues, and has represented several governments before the World Trade Organization on trade remedy and other issues.

Career

Yujin has been a partner at Akin Gump since January 2021.  She joined Akin Gump’s international trade practice in 2012, and moved to Arnold & Porter’s trade practice between 2015 and 2016.  She returned to Akin Gump in 2016.  Prior to joining private practice, Yujin was a post-graduate intern in the Legal Affairs Division of the World Trade Organization.  Yujin is a member and co-chair for Trade Remedies in Women in International Trade (WIIT), a member of the Advisory Board of the Georgetown Law International Trade Update, and a member of Arbitral Women.  She was listed in the Legal 500 U.S. for International Trade in 2021, and Euromoney Legal Media Group’s Rising Stars in International Trade in 2020.  Prior to her legal career, Yujin was an established international conference interpreter in Korea, and worked for the former Prime Minister of Korea as his official interpreter.
