Elizabeth Cohen tailors her practice to meet the specific needs of her clients, considering legal budgets and business implications when advising on intellectual property rights. She manages extensive domestic and international trademark portfolios for major companies, providing guidance on trademark selection, clearance, and application processes. Her expertise extends to trademark enforcement, licensing, internet and domain name issues, and general intellectual property protection strategies. Elizabeth advises on marketing and advertising, including claim evaluation, and handles copyright, patent, and unfair competition matters. While many disputes can be settled, Elizabeth is experienced in all aspects of intellectual property litigation, including jury trials, covering trademark, copyright, patent infringement, false advertising, and internet issues. She has extensive experience litigating before the US Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and Federal courts nationwide. Additionally, Elizabeth is committed to pro bono work, representing organizations like the Center for Women and Public Policy and other nonprofits for many years.

An active member of several professional associations, Elizabeth currently holds membership in: the International Trademark Association (INTA), where she has served on many committees; the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA); the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA); and the American Bar Association.
