Career

Peter is recognised as one of the UK's leading employment lawyers and is known for his pragmatic advice. Peter qualified in 1985 and joined Davies Arnold Cooper in 1986 (now DAC Beachcroft). In 1991 Peter made the move to Titmus Sainer & Webb (now Dechert LLP) where he stayed until 1994. Peter spent a brief period between 1994-5 at Howes Percival. In 1995 Peter returned to London to set up a niche employment law firm as Principal. In 1997 Peter co-founded Doyle Clayton. As Managing Partner he has overseen the growth of the firm into one of the UK's leading employment law practices, building an enviable and loyal base of both corporate and individual clients. Peter focuses in particular on executive terminations and disputes, bonus related issues, TUPE and business reorganisations, team move and restrictive covenant disputes, arbitration and partnership disputes.
