Position

Helen is a partner in the City office, specialising in employment law. She is a Tribunal specialist and has particular expertise in business reorganisations (TUPE and redundancy), business protection (confidentiality and restrictive covenants) and all aspects of discrimination and whistleblowing. She also advises senior executives at the start and/or end of their employment/partnership arrangements. Over recent years, Helen’s employer clients have included Sports Direct, Atos, Arqiva, Arab National Bank, Shawbrook Bank, US Embassy, various asset management and private wealth organisations, tech start-ups and some charitable/not for profit entities such as National Army Museum and Quit.

Helen trained as a High Court litigator and early in her career, she represented high profile clients such as Richard Branson (working alongside George Carman QC) and Roger Moore. In 1999, she joined the Employment team at Charles Russell, where she built particular expertise in Employment Tribunal litigation and was promoted to partner in 2006. After 14 years at Charles Russell (seven as a partner), she spent two years at Goodman Derrick LLP before joining Doyle Clayton in November 2015.
