Capanema is partner and head of Azevedo Sette Advogados’ Litigation and Arbitration practice in Belo Horizonte office. He draws upon more than 25 years’ experience representing clients in strategic litigations & arbitrations in civil, competition, environmental, intellectual property, mining, and real estate matters, specially to insurance, healthcare and TMT sectors.
Career
He is a former counsel for the Brazilian Bar Association, Minas Gerais section. Before joining Azevedo Sette, Capanema worked as in-house counsel at Fumas Centrais Elétricas (1990-1999), a largest energy company in Brazil.
