Ribas is partner in Azevedo Sette Advogados’ Corporate M&A practice in Belo Horizonte office. He draws upon more than 20 years’ experience advising clients in complex transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, contracts and corporate matters.

Before joining Azevedo Sette, he was Judicial assistant to judge Roberto Borges in the Court of Appeal of the State of Minas Gerais (Décima Câmara Cível do TJMG), 2003-2005, and worked as In-house counsel to Arcelor Mittal, 2006-2007.

Since 2015, Ribas is Coordinator of the Corporate Law Committee at CESA/MG, a Member of Lawyers Society Committee and a member of the Corporate Law Committee at Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/MG).

LL.B. from UFMG Law School, and was admitted to practice in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in 1998. Roberto is specialized in Commercial and Corporate Law at FGV (2001). Master’s Degree in Commercial and Financial Law at King’s College London (LL.M, 2008).

He is recommended in Corporate and M&A by LL 250 and The Legal 500 guides. In Análise Advocacia is considered as leading lawyer in Contracts and Corporate Law and as reference in Minas Gerais state and to Steel and Mining companies.
