For more than a decade, Julie's ability to outmaneuver, outwit and outwork opposing counsel earned her a string of resounding litigation victories. Trusted to handle cases across practice areas, jurisdictions and industries, Julie ensures her clients achieve the best possible outcome, be it winning at summary judgment, securing a successful settlement, or winning at trial.

Julie's securities experience includes a blockbuster victory for Liberty Media Corp. in a Section 10(b) securities fraud trial against Paris-based media and telecommunications conglomerate Vivendi Universal, S.A. By the time of trial, her team developed complex financial evidence in Europe, Africa, and throughout the U.S. The four-week Southern District of New York trial culminated in a unanimous plaintiff’s jury verdict for our client, with judgment entered in the amount of €944 million. Julie's pre-trial victories include the successful defense of accounting firm Grant Thornton LLP in a Rule 10b-5 securities fraud class action case which alleged $1 Billion in damages, and settled for $10 Million on the eve of trial. Julie and her team achieved similar success by winning summary judgment on behalf of a former executive of Pfizer, Inc. in a Section 10(b) securities fraud class action.

Julie also has litigated high-stakes IP and commercial cases. She helped win a defense verdict for Facebook in a Texas federal jury trial where plaintiffs sought $6 billion in damages based on alleged use of their intellectual property related to virtual-reality gaming technology. Across the country in California state court, Julie and her team won a defamation trial on behalf of the N.C.A.A. related to sanctions against the University of Southern California concerning football player Reggie Bush. After the jury verdict, trial judge Frederick Shaller called the advocacy in the case “the best I’ve seen since I’ve been a judge.” Julie was also trial counsel to former Redskins running back Clinton Portis in a criminal healthcare fraud trial, which resulted in a hung jury.
