Position

Jing is an associate in Baker McKenzie's International Commercial Practice Group and the Global Antitrust & Competition Group in Toronto. Prior to joining the Firm, Jing was an associate in the Toronto office of a leading Canadian law firm.

Career

Jing regularly advices domestic and international clients on compliance with the Competition Act and Investment Canada Act. She has experience advising on high-profile transactions and securing merger clearance with the Canadian competition regulator and has assisted foreign investors seeking regulatory approval for their investments. Jing also advises on Canadian advertising and marketing laws.

As part of her international trade practice, Jing advises clients on Canadian sanctions, export control, customs and other regulatory matters affecting the cross-border movement of goods. Her experience extends to advising companies on compliance with Canada's new anti-forced labour law from a corporate responsibility and customs compliance perspective.

As part of her general commercial and regulatory practice, Jing advises clients on product regulation, licensing and permitting requirements for doing business in Canada across a variety of industries. She has experience with complex corporate and commercial contract matters, including international franchising and distribution transactions.
