Magalie Dansac Le Clerc joined Baker McKenzie in 2008 and was elected Partner in 2016. She practices in the Information Technology and Communications of Baker McKenzie in Paris. She worked for nine months from the Chicago office of the firm in 2014 (as part of an Associate Training Program).

Her practice focuses on data protection, information technology, Internet, cybersecurity, AI and telecommunications, contracts and regulatory compliance, both at a local and global levels.

Magalie has advised large companies on data privacy issues, notably in the context of global data privacy compliance programs or specific requests or projects subject to the GDPR, including data transfer issues, processing of sensitive data, data breaches, information and consent, direct marketing, data privacy impact assessment, data subject access requests and data processing agreements.

She also has extensive experience in assisting market leaders in the financial, outsourcing and industrial sectors with their IT operations. She has drafted and negotiated multi-tiered agreements for global outsourcing projects including technology, business processing and telecommunications outsourcing projects. She has also assisted clients on IT services agreements, such as cloud computing agreements, software licensing and maintenance agreements, and transition services agreements (as part of corporate acquisitions).

Attorney at the Paris bar, she holds two research postgraduate degrees: one in Business law and economy from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, the second in Intellectual Property law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional for Europe (CIPP/E).

Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Magalie did an internship in the Intellectual Property Department of a renowned Paris law firm, and focused her internship in copyright, trademark law, and commercial law.
