Ampika Kumar joined Baker McKenzie in 2002 and has over two decades of experience practicing at multinational law firms. She is a partner in the Corporate & Commercial, Insurance, Real Estate, and Hotel/Resort & Property Development Practice Groups at Baker McKenzie's Bangkok office. Her areas of expertise include insurance regulatory, corporate restructuring, mergers & acquisitions (both for private limited and public limited companies) and trade competition. She focuses on such matters as mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and business integration primarily in the insurance sector. Her work also covers commercial contracts and competition law. Ampika was the lead counsel for some of the largest and most prominent outbound investment deals from Thailand, which will have a positive impact on large conglomerates in Thailand.
