Career

Alex Wolff is managing partner of the Firm’s Melbourne office. Prior to that appointment, Alex served for a number of years as head of the Australian Dispute Resolution Group.

Alex is described in legal directories as “a great strategist who understands a problem in its entirety from the legal and commercial points of view – and the human element underlying many disputes.”

Alex is a highly experienced dispute resolution practitioner who acts for high net worth individuals and directors and officers of listed and private companies in relation to a number of matters involving risk, investigations, contraventions of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), and in particular white collar and financial crimes. He advises clients on complex and sensitive matters requiring strategic negotiation, risk management and resolution.

Alex also advises on corporate and regulatory matters, and commercial disputes arising in contract, insolvency and corporate restructure, competition and consumer law claims, insurance, product liability and property law. Alex conducts disputes in state and federal superior and appellate courts, international and domestic arbitrations, and has experience with specialist tribunals, special references and alternative dispute resolution.
