Márcio Medina is the partner responsible for our office in Belo Horizonte. He has over 20 years’ experience, including time working in the tax departments of international auditing firms. His practice focuses on our Tax and Corporate Law areas, where he advises clients about taxation, tax planning, tax litigation and corporate and successorship matters. He works with companies in the mining, retail, services and manufacturing industries, particularly in the state of Minas Gerais.

Mr. Medina has strong ties to universities and has been a guest lecturer for a number of years in the area of tax law in graduate programs at well-known institutions in Belo Horizonte, including the Dom Cabral Foundation, the Getúlio Vargas Foundation, the Catholic University of Minas Gerais, and IBMEC. He is also a member of the Brazilian Institute of Financial Executives (IBEF) in Minas Gerais and the Brazilian Corporate Governance Institute (IBGC), where he serves on the board of directors.

He earned a post-graduation degree in Accounting Audit from Faculdade de Ciências Contábeis e Administrativas Machado Sobrinho – Juiz de Fora – MG, a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Faculdade de Ciências Contábeis e administrativas Machado Sobrinho – Juiz de Fora-MG, and a bachelor’s degree in law from Centro Universitário Positivo. Graduated in Board of Directors from Instituto Brasileiro de Governança Corporativa IBGC/MG.
