Bernardo Cavalcanti Freire is a partner at Wald, Antunes, Vita e Blattner Advogados since 2019. He graduated from the Federal University of Pernambuco in 2006, with a prominent study on the applicability of the bankruptcy and restructuring regimes to football clubs; and achieved his LLM in Corporate Law from Insper (Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa) in 2011, after studying the shareholders' agreement in mixed capital companies.

Among his practice areas, he has an specially intense activity in litigation, administrative, bankruptcy and restructuring, commercial/corporate, banking and finance law.

He was recognized as one of the most admired lawyers in Brazil by several publications, including Análise Advocacia, Leaders League, Best Lawyers, Latin Lawyer, Legal 500, Lawyer Monthly and Who’s Who Legal, being acknowledged as Thought Leader in Arbitration and National Leader in Administrative Litigation by the last of those.

He is the author of several articles published in books, law magazines and websites, such as Consultor Jurídico, and nationwide newspapers, such as Folha de São Paulo. In addition, he is recurrently a collaborator in legal collective publications on arbitration, competition and private law.
