Career
Jon Danziger represents equity and debt investors across all layers of the capital stack in acquisitions, financings, and ventures. With a focus on representing private equity funds, REITs, and life insurance companies, some of the clients he represents include Sculptor Real Estate, Allstate Real Estate Investments, and Ascentris Real Estate among many others. Jon leads deals for all major asset types (residential, retail, industrial, hospitality and office), but he has a particular expertise in alternative investments in unusual asset types including ski resorts, marinas, dealerships, farmland, cell towers, and medical and parking facilities. Jon is also an expert on ground leases, in particular “ground lease 2.0” transactions, where ground lease specialists are playing a growing role as an alternative capital provider.
Jon is a clear thinker who simplifies complex transactions and a calming presence who lowers the temperature of heated negotiations. He is relentlessly focused on his client’s goals, perspective and bottom line, which allows him to practice “risk-weighted” lawyering – focusing on fighting for what really matters to his clients without getting lost in minutia.
Jon serves on the New York office recruiting committee, the US Real Estate next generation technology and AI pilot committee, and leads the “Top Gun” associate training program. Outside of his legal practice, Jon is an occasional runner and a regular mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC.
