Jason’s practice focuses at the intersection of technology, data, and traditional intellectual property.  He has worked with both emerging and established clients to structure, negotiate, and close hundreds of strategic transactions involving the development, commercialization, sourcing, and monetization of technology, data, and IP assets in industries such as software, cloud computing, SaaS (and everything else as a service), healthcare, AI/ML, IoT, data analytics, insuretech, legaltech, fintech, blockchain, web 3.0, telecom, and digital media.  Notably,

Jason works on dozens of corporate transactions each year, helping clients navigate complex issues involving technology, data, and IP in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other transactions. Jason is a leader in the field of data monetization and assists clients in identifying and unlocking the value of datasets in fields as diverse as healthcare and pharma, manufacturing, logistics, insurance, and energy & natural resources. Jason is also an “early adopter” in the area of open source software licensing and has two decades of experience helping clients develop and implement strategies for successful consumption, contribution, and creation of open source software.
