Career

Eliot Robinson concentrates his practice in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, general securities law and related subject areas.  Additionally, he counsels boards of directors and special board committees in connection with significant corporate transactions and fiduciary issues.

Eliot has experience with acquisitions, dispositions and corporate governance and as an advisor to boards of directors regarding takeover defenses. In addition, his practice includes public offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities, as well as ongoing compliance issues under the federal securities laws.

Eliot has represented clients in a variety of industries, including health care, financial institutions, real estate investment trusts (REITs), manufacturing and telecommunications. Eliot's experience includes spin-offs, recapitalizations and both friendly and unsolicited takeover offers. Eliot is frequently on the faculty of the Directors College co-sponsored by the National Association of Corporate Directors and the University of Georgia Terry College of Business. He has also taught securities regulation as an Adjunct Professor at Georgia State University Law School.

Mr. Robinson is a former chair of the Atlanta Bar Association’s Business and Finance Section.
