Career

Christian's experience encompasses a wide range of litigation matters including federal and state employment laws, constitutional law, contract disputes, franchise law, the Uniform Commercial Code, restrictive covenants (e.g., covenants not to compete and nonsolicitation agreements), trade secrets, business torts (e.g., tortious interference with business relationships, misrepresentation, fraud, and negligence), personal torts (assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, defamation, false imprisonment, invasion of privacy, and negligence), anti-trust, housing law, liability by related and successor corporate entities, construction defects, medical malpractice, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), broker-dealer litigation/arbitrations, litigation privileges, and charitable solicitation laws. Christian has been involved in several class/collective action lawsuits and has litigated cases in federal and state courts in over 20 states.

Christian has briefed and argued cases before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Seventh Circuit, Eighth Circuit, Ninth Circuit, and Eleventh Circuit, winning every such case, and has successfully opposed every petition for certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court seeking review of those appellate rulings. Following law school, Christian served as law clerk to the Hon. Alice M. Batchelder of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from 1992 to 1994.
