Alan has experience in large development projects within the City of London and Docklands and focuses in particular on the pre-letting of buildings under construction.

He has been Involved with the development  and leasing of many of the buildings on the Canary Wharf estate as well as 20 Fenchurch Street, 5 Broadgate, Cannon Place and Watermark Place in the City. Alan has advised a number of companies with regard to sale and leaseback opportunities including Credit Suisse, Travelodge and Kwik-Fit the latter including their French and Dutch portfoliosHe has acted for a number of US law firms (Sullivan & Cromwell, Weil Gotshal and Cleary Gottlieb Steen Hamilton) with regard to their London office occupations.

Alan is a German speaker and has acted for German funds and developers in the London market (Kan Am, HansaInvest, Morgan Stanley). He is a member of the British Council for Offices.
