Felipe is currently coordinating the tax litigation team of KLA.

Position

Partner at KLA Advogados. Felipe’s practice is focused on judicial and administrative tax litigation at the federal, state and municipal levels, in several jurisdictions in Brazil, but also with experience in consultancy and tax planning, which gives him good knowledge on several aspects of Brazilian taxation. The experience in tax litigation also gives Felipe important resources to his practice in legal due diligences in M&A transactions, with the necessary grounds to identify and provide a risk assessment in sensitive tax issues. His practice also involves the assistance to clients in tax inspections and ancillary obligation matters.

Trainee at Martins, Chamon & Franco, advogados e consultores, from 2007 to 2008; Trainee at KLA Advogados, from 2008 to 2010; Associated Lawyer at KLA Advogados from 2010 to 2021; Partner at KLA Advogados since Oct, 2021; Professor of post-graduation course in Tax Law at Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos Tributários since Jul, 2019; Assistant professor at Universidade de São Paulo’s Law School from 2016 to 2019 (Tax Law).

Felipe has a strong academic background, with specialization in tax law by the Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos Tributários – IBET and master’s degree in Tax Law by the University of São Paulo, and continued attendance at tax congresses and events.

Felipe is currently a professor in the specialization course of IBET.

Author of several articles published in specialized media and mainstream media, and Author of the book entitled “Tributação e Forma do Negócio Jurídico. Uma proposta para os limites da tributação” (Dialética, 2021).
