Career

André has extensive experience in local and international arbitration, as well as civil and multi-jurisdictional litigation. In 2013, André joined Brazil’s Federal Senate Committee to amend the country’s Arbitration Law (Lei de Arbitragem) and draft its Mediation Law (Lei de Mediação). Besides his background in arbitration and civil litigation, André has a strong track record in restructuring, judicial reorganization and bankruptcy proceedings. He is a professor of Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).
