Lawyer in the Corporate, M&A and Private Equity areas at Demarest, Fabio Tayar graduated from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and holds a master’s degree (LL.M.) in Corporate Law from the School of Law of New York University (NYU). During his period in New York City (2017-2019), Fabio worked as foreign associate attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore. He currently focuses his practice on corporate law, with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and joint ventures, corporate reorganization and foreign investments in Brazil. His major clients include Brazilian and foreign companies in various sectors of the economy, such as private equity funds, financial market companies, banks, building corporations, retail, education, health, agriculture, and car industries. Fabio regularly advises major companies in the Brazilian and international markets, such as the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), Banco BTG Pactual, Grupo Odebrecht, Rede D’Or São Luiz, CRH plc, Generali Italia, the French group Vinci and the Chilean retail group Sodimac/Falabella.
