Career

Partner in Demarest’s Competition and Compliance practice areas and member of the firm’s Board of Directors, Bruno de Luca Drago holds a PhD in Commercial Law with an emphasis on Competition Law from USP, and a master's degree in Competition Law from King's College of London. He was previously an associate of Howrey LLP, handling competition matters at the Brussels office (2005/2006) and Washington D.C. (2007). Bruno concentrates his practice in providing advisory services in the competition area in cases involving cartel conduct and abuse of dominant position, leniency negotiations and cease and desist negotiations, merger and acquisition transaction submissions and associative agreements, competition compliance and consultation involving complex competition issues. Bruno also has significant experience in implementing Integrity Programs focused on anti-corruption laws and conducting internal investigations. Clients include companies in the following industries: technology (such as Dell, VMWare, Qualcomm and Garmin), chemicals (such as AkzoNobel, Clariant, Rhodia, Katrium and QuantiQ), automotive (such as Meritore Sabó), banking (such as ABBC and Banco Inter) and agribusiness (such as Caramuru, Mitsui, CMAA, CECAFÉ), among others.
