Partner in Demarest’s Corporate Investigations practice area, with emphasis on Competition matters, Marco Fonseca holds a master’s degree in Law from the Universidade de Brasília (UnB), a postgraduate degree in Public Law and Regulation from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and a bachelor’s degree in Law from Centro Universitário de Brasília (UniCEUB). Marco has more than 15 years of experience in Antitrust Law. He represents the interests of several clients mainly in cases of anticompetitive conduct, whether on behalf of the claimant or the defendant. Marco also concentrates his practice on the submission of acts of economic concentration to the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (“CADE”), in addition to advising on competitive issues. Marco Fonseca works at the firm's office in Brasília and is in constant and direct contact with public authorities. He is a guest professor in postgraduate courses at IBMEC, Universidade de Brasília (UnB), and several other institutions. He is also a regular speaker at academic events focused on Competition Law. Marco is mentioned by important international rankings, such as Latin Lawyer and Legal 500.
