Martha trained as a pupil at Walker Kontos from 2006 to 2008 when she was admitted to the Roll of Advocates after which she worked with the firm as an associate. She later on became a partner with the firm in 2015.

Martha is a partner in the corporate and commercial department specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions including Cross-Border Acquisitions, Banking, Commercial and Corporate Finance, Conveyancing and Property Law, General Insurance and Employment Law. In addition, Martha is regularly involved in legal regulatory work.

Recent prominent transactions that Martha has been involved in include: acting for I&M Insurance Agencies Limited, a bancassurance agency which is a wholly owned subsidiary of our client I&M Bank Limited, in the purchase of 100% of the shares in Youjays Insurance Brokers Limited and advising Zahid Group Holding LLC in the acquisition of 100% of all the issued shares of Blackwood Hodge (Kenya) Limited, one of the leading generator specialists, domiciled in Kenya dealing in power generating sets in Kenya and Uganda, by one of Zahid’s subsidiaries, Tamgo International Limited.
