Position
David Karnovsky, a real estate partner, focuses on land use, zoning, real estate development, and environmental review. Since joining the Firm, Mr. Karnovsky has worked on a number of high-profile zoning and land use matters in the Hudson Yards area, Lower Manhattan, and Brooklyn on behalf of Tishman Speyer, Related Companies, and Madison Equities, among others.
Career
Mr. Karnovsky joined the Firm in 2014 as a partner. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Karnovsky served as General Counsel to the New York City Department of City Planning from 1999 to 2014. Before that, Mr. Karnovsky was special counsel and policy advisor to New York City’s Deputy Mayor for Operations and chief of the Legal Counsel Division of the Office of the Corporation Counsel.
Education
Mr. Karnovsky received his JD from Harvard Law School, and his BA from Wesleyan University.
