James Taylor is a counsel in the firm’s Business Law department, sits with the Technology and Life Sciences group and is a member of Strategic Technology Transactions and Licensing team. James helps clients buy, sell, develop, license, use and protect technology and intellectual property in both business and consumer facing environments.

James has a wide range of experience but focuses on financial services and fintech (with an emphasis on blockchain, cryptocurrencies, electronic money, payments and outsourcing in the regulated sector) where he assists established clients and start-ups navigate complex regulatory regimes.

James also has significant experience assisting client with the collection, exploitation and distribution of various data sets, both in the financial services sector and other technology sectors generally.
