Rosa María joined in November 2009, and since then she has built her career as a lawyer in Arias, promoted to Partner in 2021.

The advice she provides to national and international clients focuses on all stages of the employment relationship, from the recruitment and hiring process, implementation of internal policies, benefits and compensation plans, internal investigations, disciplinary processes, individual and collective dismissals, as well as conducting labor and corporate audits to verify compliance with legal obligations, amongst others.

She has experience in different practice areas, so she can provide comprehensive and complete legal solutions. In recent years she has focused mainly on Labor Law, Immigration Law, Regulatory Law and Corporate Law.

She has experience in regulatory matters, especially with regards to the licenses and sanitary permits required for the registration and commercialization of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, foods, and related products.

She is also part of the transactional team, providing advice on commercial transactions, including expansions, mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, and corporate restructurings.

She also oversees the immigration department of Arias Guatemala, which focuses on the regularization of immigration statuses and nationality process, work permits for hiring foreigners in Guatemala and their establishment in the country.
