David is a corporate and securities partner in our Silicon Valley office.

David served as Gunderson Dettmer’s Managing Partner from 2019 through 2023, guiding Gunderson Dettmer through five years of tremendous change in both the global innovation economy and the legal industry.

David brings a practical business sense and a deep understanding of markets to his leadership roles and representation of clients. He has represented technology and life sciences companies at every stage of business growth, including general corporate representation, corporate governance, venture capital financings, public offerings, SEC compliance, and mergers and acquisitions. He has also worked with venture capital funds investing in companies and selling their stakes in companies.
